Buddy was a child in an orphanage he put in a bag with Santa Claus and was at the North Pole. Later, as an adult accidentally raised by elves, Santa allows him to travel to New York in search of his home, Walter Hobbes. Hobbes, who was on Santa’s cunning list of his heartless jerks, had no idea that Buddy had even been born. Meanwhile, Buddy feels the joy of New York (and human culture) that only a fairy can. When Walter’s relationship with Buddy prevents him from working, he is forced to reconsider his priorities.
